There will be 3 BUGATTIS dating back to the 1920s
Watch out for ANDREW MIEDECKE,who was a late entry,persuaded by the news that Michael Doohan will be competing.
GLENN RIDGE
Glenn has competed in 8 TARGAS and will be in A MAZDA RX-7
Glenn will be partnered by South Australian Rob Edwards.
PETER BROCK
Peter will be driving a Holden V8 UTE in his second TARGA.
James Brock,Peter's son will be his navigator.
The Brock team previously contested TARGA 2 years ago in a 1973 HOLDEN TORANA XU-1 but crashed out on the final day.
and making his TARGA TASMANIA debut in 2001 MICHAEL DOOHAN.
Michael will be teaming up with Barry Sheene.
Reigning Champions
JIM RICHARDS and BARRY OLIVER
Will be hard to beat in ther PORSCHE 911 turbo,as they attempt to secure a record 5th outright victory in the event.
Jim previously drove PORSCHES to outright victories 1n 1996,97,98 and 2000.
Jim a veteran of Bathurst and the Australian Touring Car Championships has been reported as saying that TARGA TASMANIA was his favourite motorsport event.
Jim believes there is nothing else like it in Australia.
