The World's Greatest Shave for a Cure has reached and surpassed the fundraising target of $5 million. The Leukaemia Foundation already has received $5.28 million in monies banked so far, and the tally continues to grow on a daily basis. This is a massive boost to the Foundation's work. It hastens it's ability to meet the urgent need for patient accommodation across Australia. And it assists the research program looking for better treatments and cures for bone marrow cancer. Nearly 32,000 Australians took part by shaving or colouring their hair. In 2002, the World's Greatest Shave for a Cure will be even bigger. It's on March 14 - 16. It's still not too late to support the 2001 event. It is hoped to reach a final tally of $5.5 million.
