The Premadhara Educational Society and Cultural Activities
address the acute poverty in the district.
The poor from low caste groups are able to feed their bellies
only 6 months a year and the remaining 6 months
they roll away time half starved.
Poverty is a principal reason for neglect
of their parents and aged people
leaving them
with no feeding and medical care, often.
A survey of the villages has found
many aged people are left without
family care, and some of them are completely dropped out
from family relations, whiling away in begging.
This is due to poverty.
Similarly, with orphans after demise of one of the parents
the remaining is unable to maintain the child
with proper food, clothing, and education.
The "P.E.Society"
has two programmes
(1) Orphanages and (2) Home for aged.
